Chief Executive Officer

In 1998, Dr. Keith M. Warner, was the visionary who saw a critical need for a wound care management program in Northeast Ohio and founded Northeast Surgical Wound Care Services. Dr. Warner's interest in wound healing developed early in his practice as he was confronted with the complex needs of wounded patients with bowel leakage and contamination of wounds. He found this scenario most often in long-term care facilities and in patients with chronic wounds. He became an early adopter of the principles of moist healing, and of modifying the wound environment of chronic wounds to effect healing.

2022 Most Valuable Provider

Rachel Deaton, APRN, CWCN-AP, came to Northeast Surgical Wound Care in 2020. At that time, she had 3 years of experience as a nurse practitioner. Rachel graduated from Walden University Master of Science in Nursing. Previously, Rachel had worked with Dr. Pilati at PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Dayton as a Registered Nurse for 4 years. It was at PAM that Rachel developed her love of wounds.
Rachel is a dedicated wife to her husband and mother to a lovely little boy, Trevor. She and her husband enjoy harvesting honey from their beehives, tending to their garden, and playing with their pet pig Ralphie. When she is not busy with other activities you will find Rachel rooting for the Michigan Wolverines. "It's great to be a Michigan Wolverine!"
Rachel has shown her dedication to Northeast Surgical Wound Care through her ability to attract new business and build strong community relationships. Her natural ability to be a team-oriented worker has given the leader of the southwest region the opportunity to breathe easier in times of unforeseen setbacks. Rachel continues to be reliable and holds a positive attitude even when getting called upon to work a full-time schedule while she is not a full-time employee. The yearly Most Valuable Provider award recognizes a provider who goes above and beyond in dedication to patients and the needs of the company. It is with great pleasure that we announce Rachel Deaton, APRN, CWCN-AP as our 2022 Most Valuable Provider.
